Acquiescence Bias

Also known as “yea saying” or the “friendliness effect”. Acquiescence Bias is a systematic bias caused by some respondents tending to agree with whatever is presented to them. This may also manifest as a tendency to give a positive opinion of something, where respondents do so without considering the question or their ‘true’ preference. This may be caused by either respondents or interviewers being overly friendly during interviews.
